“Sorry, I don’t have time to do this. I am busy.” How many times have you hear this or even said this phrase? I did suffer from this phrase some time ago.
Everyone of us have the same amount of time each day. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. With such a fair amount of time everyone has, what makes the different between someone that can manage their time effectively and those just spend the time as it comes.
The main strategy is to FOCUS, paying undivided attention to the only and the only one thing in front of you until you finish it. As my mentor the author of High Performance Habits, Brendon Burchard said, common sense may not always be common practice. You know that you need to focus on your work or study. You know you can not multitasking. You know that you need laser focus, full force to get the thing done! On the other hand, your little mind are whispering quietly to you that come on, let’s us watch a movie, let’s playing games, or let’s facebook. This is called distraction!
All these distraction is slowly and secretively stealing away your attention on the thing that you are doing! After you watch the one single episode, there is another episode. After you play the games, there is another level to continue. This is a nonstop cycle!
This is what you can do! Make sure you switch off all the potential distraction intentionally! The key word here is intentionally! Temporary cut off the internet connection, or bury your hand phone some where until you finish the task! There is a saying where you focus goes, your energy flow! The speed is incredibility fast and you are can complete the task in much lesser amount of time! That is unbelievable until you try it out!
