SUMMARY

As a leader, who is the first person you must influence? You know the leader must have the ability to influence others. We all are leaders. Now, let me ask you: Who is the first person you must influence? Yes, you’re right! If your answer is yourself.

Because before you influence other people, whether this is your family, your kids, your coworkers, your friends, the one person you must influence is YOU! You’ll never ever have the ability to influence others if you never walk the talk. Sometimes, you may encounter leaders who don’t do what they say, they just simply give instruction and hoping people will follow. Before setting as an example for others to follow, you must be congruent in what you say and what you do.

Yes, be the person who lead by example. Others are looking up for your guidance, your inspiration and your advice. You’re the role model for them. If you don’t align what you say and what you do, you will never be the person that able to influence them to do what you advise. So, your first step. Lead by example. Be congruent in what you say and do.
