SUMMARY

In the last 3 episodes of this energy series, I share with you about how sleep can affect your energy, what morning routines you can do to energize yourself to start your day. If you haven’t watched the previous episode, go to the link below to check it out!

Today, I will share with you one very important key to link everything up. This is to have your non-negotiable time. You must protect your non-negotiable time.

The first step, know what your non-negotiable that you must do before anything else are whether it is your sleeping hours or your morning routines. You are the one that sets your own non-negotiable.

For example, My non-negotiable is my sleeping time. I must sleep for 7 hours a day for me to perform at my best. This is non-negotiable. Under what circumstances, I will not sacrifice my sleep because I want to be at my best in everything that I do. That’s why I must protect my sleeping time. No one in the world that able to make me sleep less than that. Because it’s my non-negotiable.

This is the same when it goes to reading personal development books — my other non-negotiable. No matter how busy I am, where ever I am, I will read before I end the day. Even it is just 5 minutes. I will pick up the book or magazine to read.

What are your non-negotiable? Know your non-negotiable is the first step before you can protect it. Then, let others know your non-negotiable. Yes, I want you to tell others clearly whether they are your family members, friends, or colleagues. Because this is important for you to set your boundaries with them, they know what you stand for. They will respect your decision. All my family members and friends know sleep is up-most important for me. They understand me and don’t disturb me when I have my rest.

That’s how you can protect your non-negotiable time and start your day with the way you want it. You are in control. Only then, you can energize yourself for the day!
