Ever wonder what is the greatest joy in your leadership? The previous episode in this leadership series, I share with you what are the important values that a great leader must have. Here comes to the part what is the greatest joy in leadership.
For me, my greatest joy in my leadership journey is watching those in my charge do more than they thought they were capable of. To watch them grow, progress and transform to a better person. Achieve their goals and dreams in their life. When I able to help others to find the vision they are looking for makes me feel alive and fulfilled.
I had this unforgettable experience. My mentee told me millions, thank you, without my patience guidance, she won’t know what she is capable of. I was so happy and fulfilled to share her success journey. Sometimes, we can’t change a million lives so fast. But we definitely can change one life at a time. That’s the greatest joy in my leadership.
If you have a team, and watching the team take care of each other and solve the challenges together, definitely makes you know whatever hard work you put in, worth it.
I would love to end this series by sharing with you the quote from Simon Sinek : A star wants to see himself/herself rise to the top. A leader wants to see those around him/her become stars. We rise together.
Share your thought below your experience of joy as a leader.
