If you have a good day, it is because you feel happy, excited, or joy. Something that happens that makes you feel this way. If you feel sad, angry, or frustrated, you have a bad day. So, your quality of life is closely linked to your own emotions.

As an adult, there are thousands of reasons for us to feel stress, ranging from your work, relationship, family, obligations, or even your demand on yourself. Stress, if left unchecked, you’ll end up with negative emotions that severely affect your own life. The longer the stress, it is called chronic stress. This will cause all types of diseases, immune system suppression, and mental illness.

That’s why finding ways to manage your negative emotions is crucial. Self-awareness is the first step. Knowing that you’re stress is important before you can take the necessary action towards it. You can observe yourself from your physical and mental state. Does your muscle always feel tense? Do you feel like nausea, headache, or backache? How do I feel right now?

Then ask yourself: What makes me feel this way? What is the root cause? How can I get out of this negative pattern?

Brainstorm to find ways that suit yourself to destress is important. There are so many ways to help you up: Meditation, deep breathing, tapping, exercising, sleeping, or even shopping. Try a few ways and find the own way that most suits yourself.

The key here is you must manage your stress before it kills you. You can’t get rid of it. You can handle it. Be the one who takes control of your own emotion; don’t let it take over your power. Be the one in charge.
