Let’s us talk about hydration this week! Yes, you are right! Water! We need water! Water as a transport! Our blood comprises 90% water help to transport oxygen and nutrients to cells. Water also as a temperature regulator! Body water allows us to regulate our body core temperature so that it gets neither too hot nor too cold.

Do you actually know that even a mild dehydration with water loss of 1-2% of body weight can impair physical and cognitive performance? You will feel headache, fatigue, loss of appetite, dry mouth and eyes and dark color of urine. A loss of 5% can cause nausea and difficulty of concentration. That is why sometimes, you have the symptoms of fatigue, headache and difficult to focus just because you are dehydrated!

Lots of people don't realize the true importance of drinking enough water everyday and how it can impact both your health! How much water you need to take according to your body weight? A 45kg and 80kg of adult require different amount of water! As a guideline, you can decide your body weight in kilogram with 30 to get the amount of water in liters you need! If you exercise, you probably lose a lot of water through sweat. Add another 350 ml to every half an hour that you exercise. Water majorly from plain water consumption, it also can comes from your daily beverages as such coffee, tea, soup, fruits juices and vegetables!

As I always mentioned health is the fundamental of success, let’s us take a good care of ourselves with make sure we are hydrated with water!
