SUMMARY

“Language is the dress of your thought” by Samuel Johnson. How beautifully he describe the importance of language! Without the proper language, we can not deliver our ideas, thoughts, messages or suggestions!

Recently, I have a few coaching clients, also want to improve their language speaking especially English! After a few months working with them, I condensed it down into 3 effective ways that you must take right now if you want to communicate effectively with English!

First, listen to the channel that use the language that you want to learn! My suggestion here are movies, news, documentary and interviews. Choose those channel that grab your interest first! For example: If you animal documentary, you can watch national geographic! There are so many podcast or Youtube channel you can choose from ranging from health, career, motivation, sales, finance, money management and so on…. I am sure there is one channel will get your interest! By listening, you can learn the correct pronunciation and new vocabulary.

Second, read the articles of the language every day! It can be newspaper, magazine or books! Start with 5 minutes every day. What I mean by reading the articles? Means read it out loud. Listen to your own voice and record your own voice to listen again for any improvements. You do not have a recorder? No, you have. Your phone! I promise you will improve very fast. Extend the duration of reading out loud longer and wide variety of topics! You not only can improve your speaking, your knowledge also improve tremendously!

Third way, dare to speak! Do not feel shy about it! Communicate the language with those around you especially those that has a better command of the language!  Practice and practice and keep practice is the key! Practice makes Progress! Everyone as a humble beginning! One is a student first before he or she become a master! So, keep practicing every single day using the language!
